Our TV Writing Bootcamp was led by Priscila García-Jacquier! We began learning all about TV Writing—the three-act structure, what it’s like to work in the industry, and what it takes to make it!

Part 2
During the second session, Priscila guided us through prompts that helped the group begin to craft a collective, 15-page pilot based on what we learned during the first session. Participants were assigned a scene to work on based on the plot crafted during this second workshop.

Part 3
The third session consisted of a read-through and revision of the collectively created script! Attendees were able to see the finalized product of their ideas as parts of a whole. Towards the end, surprise guest Kathie Newman, Literary Manager at 3 ARTS Entertainment, talked about her role and career journey.

Priscila García-Jacquier is a staff writer on STARZ’s upcoming show Blindspotting and a Television Academy Young Writer to Watch. In 2018, she was part of Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Impact’s inaugural class. She has served as the writer’s assistant to Alexander Dinelaris (Birdman) and Graham Moore (The Imitation Game). She’s appeared in Forbes for her digital talk show QUIERO. She assisted Kenny Leon on Broadway’s Holler If Ya Hear Me, and Kamilah Forbes’ on The Labyrinth Theater’s Sunset Baby. A native of both France and Colombia, Priscila was the first Latina to graduate from Carnegie Mellon’s undergrad directing program in 2014.
