Our first virtual Open Mic Night, hosted by Girls Write Now mentor Nikki Palumbo, was a blast! We gave the Zoom floor to 13 talented writers to share their most clap-worthy work, or… their most cringe-worthy work. Performances included poetry, standup, essays, and some truly majestic puns—a variety show for the times!

Our Summer Salons—hosted in Zoom and open to the public—are a space for our community to learn from and write with some incredible authors, poets, journalists, and novelists. The Girls Write Now Summer Salon Series is an extension of our Writing Works Program.
