From all of us at Girls Write Now, thank you for helping us serve more girls. With your generous support, we are meeting our fundraising goals to raise $100,000 by the end of 2015. We are already 75% of the way there and your donations secure our plan to enhance, expand, and enrich our programming for hundreds of young women writers. See how board members, volunteers, mentors and enthusiastic supporters are making this happen by writing letters, setting up online campaigns, and rallying around our ambitious strategic plan to double the number of girls we serve.

“When I walked into the Girls Write Now office for our monthly workshop, I instantly noticed Andrea Pippins who created the coloring book, I Love My Hair: A Coloring Book of Braids, Coils, and Doodle Dos. Her hair was big and full of curls and it reminded me of my own,” writes mentee Zahraa Lopez. Craft talk speakers Andrea Pippins and Dr. Laurie Jean Cannady, who recently published Crave: Sojourn of a Hungry Soul, shared their stories and encouraged our mentees to share their own.
