2015 Girls Write Now Awards
May 19, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
If you missed the event, but would still like to support Girls Write Now, donate here.
Join us for the Girls Write Now annual spring benefit, where we honor influential women who have paved the way for our teens to realize their promise and the possibilities of change. This year, we’re honoring best-selling author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (Americanah, Half a Yellow Sun, We Should All Be Feminists), Emmy Award-winning co-anchor of ABC News Nightline Juju Chang, and the editor of the New York Times Book Review Pamela Paul. Rounding out the evening will be emcee Mariane Pearl, author, activist, and managing editor of Chime for Change. Under the leadership of our Host and Honorary Committees, our honorees join forces in one spectacular evening.
The 2015 Girls Write Now Awards will include a reception with open bar and hors d’oeuvres, the awards ceremony, a performance by a Girls Write Now mentor-mentee pair, a silent auction, and the private launch of our 2015 anthology Voice to Voice.
Festive attire is recommended.
