Intersectional Environmentalism April 22

Join us on Thursday, April 22nd from 6-7PM ET for Intersectional Environmentalism with Sahra Ali! In this special EARTH DAY Community Chat, writer, organic farmer & diversity and equity consultant, Sahra Ali, will discuss how to equitably and sustainably center yourself in nature and how to shift the narrative from whiteness in farming/outdoor spaces to recenter Black, Indigenous, and People Of Color (BIPOC) experiences. Ali will provide an open space for conversation and share resources with participants. This community chat is a part of the 3-part Racial Justice Community Chat Series.

Sahra Ali is a Somali-American writer, DEI consultant, and outdoor enthusiast. Ali’s work utilizes storytelling, immersion and contemplative practices to promote meaningful and productive dialogue around equity and identity with a goal of elevating underrepresented voices. Ali is based in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and enjoys solitude, organic farming and the great outdoors.
