It’s almost time for the show and tell — or listen and tell, as dorkshop facilitator Julia put it — and the mentors and mentees are getting ready show off their new skills in Audacity. I’m sure I’m not the only one waiting to hear what has come of the time invested into their work!
20 minutes later and we got to hear the cute little girl who admits her fear of the moon not coming back, a girl speaking up to her mom about career choices in a humorous way, a multilingual poem about a woman seeking hope, juxtapositions of many city sounds, remixes from our own GWN Anthology, a heartbreaking piece about wings that can’t fly, and many more. In all, we saw the creativity and talent of our GWN community, as voice actors, audio editors, sound seekers and producers come alive. Check out the link below so you can hear what I am talking about.
Girls Write Now Remixers at their best. (See if you can locate the audio piece that has 12 tracks layered on top of one another!)
Interested in more GWN dorkshopping? Put May 12 on your calendars — our very own GWN Remixers will be leading the Transmedia Workshop Guest Author Craft Talk!
