Not even The Blizzard of 2005 could stop Girls Write Now mentees from presenting their original works to a room full of friends and family members at Teachers & Writers Collaborative on January 22nd. Many thanks to all our guests for braving the snow, to Reading Co-Chairs Nana Brew-Hammond and Meghan Rabbit for coordinating the event, to Urban Word’s Parker Balderson for her performance warm-up, to our mentors for expertly guiding the girls through the editing process, and of course to our mentees for their always-inspiring creativity and courage.
