Girls College Bound

Girls Write Now is happy to report a 100% college acceptance rate for students who complete the Girls Write Now mentoring program as seniors, including admission to such schools as Barnard College, Baruch College, Colgate University, Ithaca College, The New School, New York University, Smith College, Wesleyan University and more!

This spring, we've lined up a series of college prep events to help junior and senior mentees at every stage in the college application process.

• At the March Playwriting workshop, we'll be holding a financial aid informational session.
• At the April Journalism Workshop, Macaulay Honors College will be provide an info session for GWN juniors.

Beyond the mentoring program, approximately 150 additional high school girls annually receive college and career preparation assistance through Girls College Bound with our:

• Queens Library College Essay Writing Clinics
• College Essay Writing Summer Workshop Series at the Girls Write Now Manhattan office
• College Seminar in collaboration with Barnard College now it its sixth year.
