Poetry Workshop

Poet Marie Ponsot said of poetry, “Poetry is like love – easy to recognize when it hits you, a joy to experience, and very hard to pin down flat in a satisfying definition.” But despite the elusive nature of poetry, we’ve learned about sestinas, villanelles and sonnets. Beginning with just single words and phrases, our poems developed throughout the day taking on an array of forms from rhyming to free form to villanelle.
