A Travel Piece About My Home
Submitted by Writing Gallery on Fri, 07/24/2009 - 5:37pm.
By Toni Bruno, Age 16 Inspired by the April '08 Journalism Workshop, "Mouth" Though vinyl-sided and revoltingly tacky on the outside, 34A Windsor Place is homey, comfortable, and seemingly mellow on the inside. Residents can generally be found in a dim front room, sprawled across the couch or snoring (while being jabbed repeatedly in the back) on the living room rug. Residents can also be found inhaling Grape-Nuts at the nearby kitchen table. The best time to visit is around 1 a.m. when the older judgmental interrogators have gone to sleep. You will then avoid awkward questions and immediately be escorted upstairs by the younger residents.
