InternsPROGRAM INTERN & DEVELOPMENT-COMMUNICATIONS INTERN, Spring & Summer 2012 Girls Write Now is currently accepting applications for volunteer or for-credit interns for both the Spring & Summer 2012. Interns will gain valuable experience with a fast-growing nationally recognized non-profit organization and also enhance his/her career opportunities in the literary and arts education professions. Strong writers with a keen interest in literature, youth education, non-profit management, and women's issues will be positioned to network with a wide range of professional women writers and gain hands-on experience working with New York City high school youth. Volunteers receive training and support, as well as frequent and constructive communication to ensure an educational and rewarding internship.
Program Interns will report directly to program staff, assisting with key aspects of enrollment, curriculum, pair support, and communications, as well as day-to-day operations. Development Interns will report directly to development staff, assisting with key aspects of funder research, proposal drafting and packaging, outreach, and communications (written, email, and web), as well as day-to-day operations. The deadline for Spring applicants is March 15; the deadline for Summer applicants is April 1. Download the appropriate intern application attached below.
