Mentors and mentees will tackle these questions and more at this workshop, where they’ll also learn how to craft the answers they discover into thought-provoking articles. Highlights:

  • Great icebreaker activities
  • Prompts to jump start individual writing and mentoring sessions
  • “Craft Talk: Journalism” featuring New York Times columnists Courtney Sullivan and Jennifer 8. Lee and novelist and journalist Vasugi Ganeshananthan
  • And, as always, a healthy lunch!

GWN Songwriting Workshop Planning Meeting

Songs and poems have a lot in common. Both often revolve around rhythm and rhyme, and both frequently cover the universal themes of love and loss. At this meeting, GWN Songwriting Workshop leaders will plan writing exercises, activities and more to help mentees and mentors learn to turn these themes into songs that move the body and the spirit.
